Here is the result of our likeness / realistic Face and realistic haircut modules at Artside School.
i was pleasantly surprised to work on the realistic style because i'm normally used to stylized.
For the likeness, I tried to replicate the face of an actress I really admire, Dichen Lachmann ( you can see her in Altered Carbon), It's my first likeness with the help of Pierre Alain Raymond ( https://www.artstation.com/palain ) and with a Viking haircut under the supervision of Andre Pires ( https://www.artstation.com/torix ), both have been outstanding teachers !
We used a XYZ workflow with Vface multichannel maps, plus we add a layers of painting in substance painter to make the character a bit more unique. The skin detailing work was really interesting, and I’m also having fun texturing bruises in paint.
For the hair, we did what is standard in the industry I think now using haircards, with a placement of the haircards in Zbrush which was more appreciable than I had imagined. The main hairstyle we did is a mix of several hairstyles that were done in a training purpose, so we have in our class, more or less the same haircut, don't be surprised !
I also have to thank people who have given me feedback outside of my professors, people in my training class as well and Arthur Fournier ( https://www.artstation.com/arthurfournier ) for all his excellent advices :)
i hope you will enjoy my work as much as i enjoyed making it.
